Attorney Margaret H. Kreiner, has over twenty-six years of Elderlaw experience including Medicaid Estate Planning, Probate, Wills, Trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney for Healthcare, Medicare, Veteran's aid, Elder Care, Estate Planning, caregiver's problems, and spousal impoverishment. Her areas of practice are: Elder Law and Estate Planning, Probate, Wills and Trusts, Asset Protection, Medicaid Planning, SSI, and Mediation.
Kreiner earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Kent State and holds M.B.A and J.D. degrees from the University of Akron.
She is the co-author of the book Ohio Elder Law, and has written articles for the American Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association, Mature Living Magazine, Women's Journal, Long Term Care Insurance, and Handbook for Guardians; the Florida Elderlaw chapter for the Elderlaw Handbook. Attorney Kreiner is a mediator for the Summit County Probate Court, the Better Business Bureau [also arbitrator], and the Domestic Relations Summit County Court. She is certified in Elder Law by the State of Florida and the National Elderlaw Foundation, and approved by the State of Ohio. She is a member of the Akron Bar, Volunteer Hospice Attorney, the Ohio State Bar, (member committees: General Practice, Tax and Probate sections), and the American Bar (membership committees: Probate and Taxation sections) Associations, the Florida Bar (member committee, Elder Law Section), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, including the Ohio NAELA Chapter, and the Ohio State Bar College. Past member of the Board of Directors of OASIS (Older Senior Information Services) since 1994 and served as its chairperson; and the Women's Board of the Cleveland Natural History Museum.
